Designing an Environment

When I first started with the idea the development was based around AR. Therefore there was no need for the design and implementation of an environment for the experience. Switching to VR faced me with the difficulty to design an adequate environment.

It is surprisingly difficult to develop an environment which leaves me satisfied. Starting with the colour choice of the skybox up to the floor the experience is happening on. This lead to many setups and experiments of which non really created a neutral or enchanting atmosphere suitable for a whisky tasting.

Environment – Sweet with transparent circular arranged pillars, pink light and pink shapes and colours.
Environment – Leather/Sherry with transparent square arranged pillars, leather shapes and colours.
